No update on condition of people after A46 accident near Newark caused serious injuries

No further updates have been released after two people suffered potentially life threatening injuries in a car crash on the A46 near Newark. The two vehicle collision occurred shortly before 9am on Friday, August 26, and two people were sent to hospital to receive treatment.

Nottinghamshire Police do not currently have any further updates on the condition of the two people, but believe they are still in hospital. The accident caused the A46 to be closed between Cattle Market Road and Brownhills Roundabout in Newark for several hours, before they were re-opened in the evening.

Nottinghamshire Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward with any information they have regarding the accident, and would also like to review any dash cam footage from anyone who drive on the A46 near Newark at that time. Anyone with information is asked to call the police on 101, quoting incident 141 of 26 August 2022, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
