There were no surprises when the San Francisco 49ers announced their inactives for Week 2 against the Minnesota Vikings.
With running back Christian McCaffrey ruled out and only one player listed as questionable there wasn’t much mystery as to who wouldn’t play for the 49ers.
Here’s who the club listed as inactive:
QB Josh Dobbs
SS Talanoa Hufanga (knee)
CB Darrell Luter Jr.
OL Ben Bartch
LB Dee Winters (ankle)
Winters was officially questionable and will not suit up for the second consecutive week. He returned to practice in Week 2 which bodes well for his chances to play in Week 3.
Hufanga also continued his ramp up, but never had a full practice and was officially doubtful on the injury report.
The 49ers’ list of inactives is a little light this week because they’re short a player on their roster. They put McCaffrey on IR on Saturday, but didn’t replace his spot on the active roster just yet. Safety Tracy Walker was the club’s only practice squad elevation as well, so they needed to keep only five players down instead of the typical six.
Kickoff in Minnesota is slated for 10:00am Pacific Time from US Bank Stadium.
