Rangers have not spoken to Christian Nerlinger about the vacant sporting director position at Ibrox.
It's understood Rangers have had no contact with their former player about the role.
It was reported earlier today that Nerlinger had turned down an approach by the Ibrox club for talks about the job vacated by Ross Wilson this week.
It was said that the German was reluctant to leave his player agency where he represents a number of high-profile Bundesliga talents.
However, it can be revealed that no such talks have taken place between Rangers and the 50-year-old at this stage.
Rangers face St Mirren at Ibrox tomorrow afternoon but will be without a whopping fresh six first-team players, who've been ruled out through injury.
Michael Beale confirmed the fitness update when speaking to the media this lunchtime.
He said: "A few missing for the weekend. "Connor Goldson is still unavailable. Ridvan, Colak, Wright, Jack and Kent are also unavailable for the weekend.
"We'll have to assess. I think one or two are just knicks and niggles that we don't want to take a risk on right now.
"Obviously, Connor, we know is going to be away with a possibility of playing next weekend but we've got an eye on the semi-final for him.
"Ryan Kent, right at the end of the game had an awkward landing and he's got quite a lot of bruising around it so has not been able to come back to training this week. We need to assess where that is in the early part of next week.
"Ridvan will be back. Tony has a slight problem with his calf. Jacko, yesterday just opened his knee out a little bit but we don't think there's anything major there."
