'No, no' - Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson gives perfect response to Jude Bellingham transfer question

Jordan Henderson looks to be continuing his secondment as one of Liverpool's agents - by insisting to a fan that Jude Bellingham will not be joining Real Madrid.

Bellingham is set to become one of the most in-demand players in the world by next summer as he continues to star during England's World Cup campaign. The 19-year-old was at the heart of everything good about last night's 3-0 win against Senegal, driving forward to set up Henderson for the opener before kicking off the move for Harry Kane's finish when latching onto a loose ball.

Such form on the world stage will only ramp up speculation over the teenager's future. While Liverpool are known to be long-time admirers of the midfielder, it seems they will face stiff competition from the likes of Madrid and others.

Fans have joked since the England squad flew to Qatar and Henderson and Trent Alexander-Arnold have been grafting behind the scenes to lure Bellingham to Anfield - so much so that the Reds right-back had to deny the 'agent Trent' rumours after posting a photo of himself and Bellingham spending some relaxation time together exploring Qatar.

And the trio were spotted together again earlier today with what seemed to be a Real Madrid fan trying to convince Bellingham of a move to the Spanish capital. But as the fan pleaded with the teenager, Henderson jokingly insisted "no no, not Madrid, not Madrid".

The Madrid fan - seemingly TikTok user @dushane_0 - then cheekily joked that Henderson and his Liverpool side lost the Champions League final to his side, before promising Bellingham that he would win the Ballon D'or if he joins Carlo Ancelotti's side.

Henderson and Bellingham are expected to start in midfield again when England take on France in the quarter-finals on Saturday.
