Arsenal midfielder Martin Odegaard admits there is 'no hope' of catching Manchester City in the Premier League title race after Sunday's 3-0 defeat at home to Brighton.
Mikel Arteta's side ended the week four points adrift of City after a lacklustre display saw them well beaten by the Seagulls. Julio Enciso opened the scoring for the away side shortly after half-time, with late goals from Deniz Undav and Pervis Estupinan rubbing salt in Arsenal wounds.
That defeat came just hours after City came through a potentially tricky trip to Everton with three points. A brilliant Ilkay Gundogan scored two wonderful goals, setting up Erling Haaland in between for a 3-0 victory at Goodison Park.

That opened up a four-point gap and Arsenal's failure to make ground back up leaves City on the cusp of a third straight Premier League title.
"Yeah, it feels like that," Odegaard told Sky Sports when asked if the title race is over. "It’s going to be very difficult now, to be honest, so it’s a tough one to take. It’s not a good feeling at the moment, the way we played - especially in the second half - I don’t know what happened to be honest but it’s a big, big disappointment. It feels like there is no hope now."
City can win a fifth title in six seasons by this time next week, with defeat for Arsenal at Nottingham Forest on Saturday meaning the trophy stays at the Etihad. Guardiola's side can secure top spot with a win at home to Chelsea on Sunday afternoon, regardless of what Arsenal do.
