Barnsley fans have backed the EFL's decision not to postpone their side’s game at Nottingham Forest on Tuesday night.
The Tykes, who sit bottom of the Championship, will travel to the City Ground as the only team in the EFL without an away win this season.
Their cause hasn’t been helped by injury and illness in the camp.
As a result, they asked for the Forest match to be postponed – a request which has reportedly been turned down by the League.
However, most Tykes fans appear to be supporting the governing body’s decision, with many pointing out the club’s lack of activity in the transfer market so far.
“We’ve had 24 days to sign some players. We can’t have any excuses,” wrote one fan on Twitter while another said: “If only the transfer window was open to bring in some reinforcements……..”
Another supporter added: “If this doesn’t show that we need signings I don’t know what does.”
A fourth fan tweeted: “Good, this calling games off has to stop, injuries happen, got to draw the line somewhere,” while another wrote: “Injuries aren’t an excuse, play the kids.”
