A FRENCH football journalist has expressed his love for Scotland’s national anthem.
“No anthem gives you goosebumps as much as Flower of Scotland”, said Pierre-Etienne Minonzio on Twitter/X last night (below) while sharing a video in the stadium as the Tartan Army sang ahead of the Euro 2024 match against Switzerland.

He wasn’t the only one who appreciated the anthem, with several others sharing their praise for the song and the travelling Tartan Army.
“The most beautiful anthem in the world without a doubt and yet I love our Marseillaise more than anything,” said one social media user.
“They deserve their independence from the United Kingdom,” said another (below)

ITV journalist Peter A Smith, meanwhile, shared: "Last night’s anthem from the Scotland fans has made an impression. Colleagues who were in the stadium tell me the sports journalists from around Europe took off their headsets for a moment just to listen and marvel."
Tens of thousands of Scots travelled to the German city of Cologne to witness the Group A clash in the knowledge the team had to earn at least a point after their 5-1 drubbing against Germany in the opening game of the tournament.
Scotland’s performance, which saw them take the lead through Scott McTominay in the 13th minute only to be pegged back by a stunning 26th-minute equaliser from Xherdan Shaqiri, earned a range of plaudits.
