Nnamdi Ofoborh pens heartfelt Rangers message after exit

Nnamdi Ofoborh has penned a heartfelt thank you message to Rangers for their support over the past two years.

The midfielder joined the Ibrox club from Bournemouth in 2021.

However, due to an underlying heart condition that was discovered after he signed, the Nigerian failed to make a single appearance in Light Blues colours.

The issue meant the 23-year-old was cruelly kept on the sidelines at Ibrox.

Last week, his contract was terminated by mutual agreement after a torrid two years.

Now, Ofoborh has lifted the lid on his exit from the club, wishing everyone well for the future and thanking those who helped him during his time in Glasgow.

He posted on his Instagram story: "To my Rangers family, coaches, staff, teammates, and fans, I thank you for your support over the past two years.

"I will never forget my time up there, an experience that will stay with me forever. I also apologise as I wasn't able to help in the ways that I wanted to and that hurt me the most. All the best this season @rangersfc. You'll always have me as a supporter."

Last week, a Rangers statement read: "Rangers can today announce that the club and Nnamdi Ofoborh have mutually agreed to end his contract.

"The midfielder, who joined Rangers at the start of 2021-22 season has opted to pursue a career elsewhere. Everyone at Rangers wishes Nnamdi all the very best of luck for the future."

And now, Ofoborh has spoken out for the first time since his departure and admitted he was hurt that health issues meant he couldn't contribute at Ibrox.
