NMSU’s Jerry Kill Celebrates Bowl Win With First Tattoo

New Mexico State football coach Jerry Kill has settled up on a promise he made to his players prior to the Aggies’ Quick Lane Bowl appearance in December.

Kill told his players that if the Aggies were to defeat Bowling Green in the bowl game, which would give the school its first bowl victory since 1960, he would get a tattoo commemorating the achievement.

Sure enough, New Mexico State knocked off Bowling Green, 24–19, in Detroit on Dec. 26, and over the weekend, Kill entered Tat Reapers Tattoo Studio in Las Cruces to get his first tattoo.

Kill shared the photo of the completed tattoo on his upper right arm, featuring the “NMSU” initials, with two revolvers that emulate the school mascot with “Bowl Champs” scripted in a banner.

“First tattoo: I told y’all I’d never forget the 2022 Aggies!” Kill tweeted with the picture.

As if there weren’t enough reasons to already love Jerry Kill, he reminded everyone that you’re never too old to get your first tattoo.
