People buying air fryers as the trendy kitchen gadget grows in popularity have been issued a warning by one of the main manufacturers Ninja. Air Fryers use electricity to cook smaller batches of food - reducing the amount of energy needed to cook as well as making healthier meals.
Ninja air fryers have been selling out at some retailers thanks to the huge demand, and now Ninja is warning shoppers not to shop anywhere else as fraudulent websites are preying on those trying to get one - with some websites offering major price cuts to lure them in.
BirminghamLive has seen some websites offering expensive air fryers for almost 70 per cent off. One website appears to show the Ninja Max Foodi which normally retails for £249 for just £79.
Shoppers have been using social media to warn others. A spokesperson for Ninja said: “Following an unprecedented surge in demand for Ninja products, particularly our Air Fryers, we have become aware of a rise in fraudulent websites appearing to offer our products at greatly reduced prices.
“We would recommend any new or existing customers only purchase goods through the official Ninja website or via a reputable retail partner to ensure you receive our 5 star rated products as ordered.”
