A nine-year-old girl from Bellshill was rushed to hospital after she was knocked down by a car.
Emergency services rushed to the scene outside the Sir Matt Busby Centre on Main Street at around 6.35pm on Saturday, May 13.
The schoolgirl was raced to the Royal Hospital for Children where she still remains in a serious but stable condition.

Police shut the road for just under six hours following the incident.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 6.35pm on Saturday, May 13, we received a report of a pedestrian being struck by a car on Main Street, Bellshill.
“Emergency services attended and the pedestrian, a nine-year-old girl, sustained serious injuries and was taken to the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow. Her condition is described as serious but stable.
“The road was closed while officers carried out crash investigation work and re-opened around 00.15am on Sunday, May 14.”
