Nine People Arrested After Alleged Stabbing In Melbourne This Morning

This morning in Hoppers Crossing, Melbourne, nine individuals were arrested following a serious alleged stabbing incident during a mass fight.

Emergency services responded to a call on Mosfield Drive at approximately 3:40 am, where they discovered a 23-year-old man suffering from life-threatening injuries. He was promptly transported to the hospital and is currently in critical but stable condition.

A 16-year-old boy also arrived at Werribee Hospital around 4 am with suspected stab wounds, having been brought in a black Mazda CX9. At this stage, the precise location of the second alleged stabbing remains unclear. Authorities are investigating whether this second incident is connected to the stabbing in Hoppers Crossing.

Authorities are carefully examining the circumstances surrounding both incidents.

“Investigations are ongoing into the circumstances of both incidents, which police believe are targeted at this stage,” a police spokesperson said.

“Detectives are working to establish whether the two incidents are linked.”

The Wyndham Crime Investigation Unit has taken nine men into custody following the altercation and stabbing. These individuals will be interviewed by detectives as part of the ongoing investigation.
