Nine in 10 people fooled by 'moving' black hole optical illusion

Perhaps the most fascinating thing about optical illusions is that two people can see do completely different things when looking at the same image. For example, the white or blue dress debate of 2015 has been written in illusion folklore.

The Mirror reports that a new optical illusion has been tricking many into believing that the image is moving, when in reality it is a still. The new series of illusions, produced by Jackpotjoy, found that nine out of 10 people who stare into the black hole will see it increasing in size and moving, however to one person it will appear still.

The illusion has been designed to trick those that look at it, with the still image appearing to move before your very eyes. While staring into the black hole, the faded edges appear as if the black colour is spreading out like you were heading into a tunnel.

Scientists say the illusion is supposed to cause your pupils to dilate. This usually happens when you're in the dark, so the illusion is tricking you you're entering a black hole.
