Nina Dobrev feels "proud" of herself as she continues her recovery from knee surgery.
The 35-year-old actress underwent surgery after suffering a bike accident earlier this year, but Nina has revealed that she's now making good progress with her recovery.
Nina - who recently got engaged to her long-time boyfriend, former snowboarder Shaun White - wrote on her Instagram Stories: "It’s been 7 months since my knee surgery and I graduated to JOGGING in physical therapy. Knee is getting stronger and milestones like these may seem insignificant to the normal (healthy) person but they make me feel like LeBron (sic)."
The actress acknowledged that her recovery hasn't been straightforward. But Nina is pleased with where she's currently at with her comeback.
She wrote: "It’s been a long journey to get here, I’m feeling very emotional, grateful, and proud to be where I am today. Still have 4.5 months to go until I’m at 100 percent but feeling optimistic. I see light at the end of the tunnel! (sic)"
Earlier this year, Nina took to social media to reveal her surgery had been a success.
The 'Vampire Diaries' star said on Instagram at the time: "Surgery was a success. Thank you to everyone who has been sending kind messages, thoughts, prayers, and good vibes.
"I have been feeling the support and positive energy. It means more than you will ever know."
Before going under the knife, Nina admitted she was "scared" to have the procedure.
The actress said on her Instagram Story: "Anyone else get scared before surgery? I'm such a baby when it comes to needles, blood or procedures of any kind."
