Fans of Nile Rodgers and Chic tweeted back at Nile to equally sing their praises as one user wrote: “Dear Nile. We had tickets for the gig and have been waiting to see you for years but our first born decided to make an appearance.

“Please can you come back to Bristol in the future? The new baby is already a big fan after 24 hours!!”

Another user added: “No thank you @nilerodgers and Chic for an incredible performance of back to back classics. Did look like you guys were having a blast. #musicroyalty #inthe presence of greatness”

The band performed in the city again last night (Thursday, July 14) when they played at the Lloyds Amphitheatre on Bristol's harbourside.

As previously reported, while Nile and Chic will be playing for two consecutive nights, Indie-pop artists Belle and Sebastian will round off the three-day event on Friday.

Enthusiastic music fans can still purchase tickets to see the legendary band live later today; however, with limited availability.

Gates for the show will open at 6pm whilst Amahla, Nile Rodgers’ mentee will again perform at 7.30 pm as an opening act to which Nile Rodgers & Chic will hit the stage at 8.45pm, with the show scheduled to end at 10.30pm. The last entry will be at 9pm at Millennium Square.
