The ultimate party band will be kick starting a big weekend of live music for Swansea as Nile Rodgers & Chic aims to get the city dancing at Singleton Park on Friday, July 29 . The music legend is renowned across the world for electric outdoor performances, and organisers Orchard Live and Feels Like Summer vow that the show will go down as one of the city's most memorable ever summer parties.
Their timeless hits, including Everybody Dance, Le Freak, and Good Times will sound out across the treasured city park to the rhythm of Rodgers’ Hitmaker guitar. Rodgers has built an incredible catalogue of hit songs, and his collaborations with such iconic artists as David Bowie, Diana Ross and Madonna have sold over 500 million albums and 75 million singles worldwide. His more contemporary work with Daft Punk, Disclosure and Sam Smith demonstrates his ability to transcend all styles of music. Performances from Anne-Marie and Paul Weller will follow the band that weekend.
Here, we've put together a guide on everything you need to know about the show, from stage times and road closures to banned items, the predicted setlist, support acts, car parking and more.
