Nikki Haley Releases Delegates To Support Trump At RNC

Nikki Haley Former United States Ambassador to the United Nations

Former U.N. ambassador and former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley has announced that she is releasing all of her delegates to the upcoming Republican National Convention and is urging them to support former President Trump. In a statement released on Tuesday, Haley emphasized the importance of Republican unity during the nominating convention and encouraged her delegates to back Trump in Milwaukee.

Haley, who was the final challenger against Trump for the 2024 GOP nomination before ending her White House bid four months ago, expressed her concerns about the current administration. She stated that she believes Joe Biden is not competent to serve a second term and that Kamala Harris would be a disaster for America. Haley emphasized the need for a president who can hold enemies accountable, secure the border, reduce debt, and revive the economy.

Haley launched her presidential campaign in February of last year, becoming the first major candidate to challenge Trump. Despite suspending her campaign on March 6 after Trump's success on Super Tuesday, Haley continued to garner significant support in subsequent primaries, winning a total of 97 delegates.

In late May, Haley publicly announced her intention to vote for Trump, citing her belief that while Trump may not be perfect on certain policies, Biden's presidency has been a catastrophe. Despite not planning to attend the upcoming convention in Milwaukee, Haley's aides confirmed that she fully supports Trump and wishes him success at the event.
