Former presidential candidate Nikki Haley recently revealed that President-elect Donald Trump was aware of her lack of interest in serving in his administration. Despite efforts from Trump's friend, Steve Witkoff, to broker a truce between Haley and Trump, she maintained her stance of not wanting to be part of the Cabinet.
During a special edition of her SiriusXM show, 'Nikki Haley Live,' Haley shared that she had already pledged her support to Trump and saw no need for a truce. When asked by Witkoff if there was anything she wanted, Haley responded with a firm 'There's nothing I want.'
Trump later publicly announced that Haley, along with former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, would not be invited to join his administration. In response, Haley expressed her pride in working with Trump at the United Nations and wished him success in leading the country towards a stronger and safer America.
While Haley admitted that Trump's post upset her family, she also acknowledged his tendency to be shallow at times. Despite any personal feelings, Haley emphasized her comfort with the situation and her decision not to engage in political games.
Reflecting on the events, Haley stated, 'It is time to move on.' She recognized the bigger picture and opted to focus on the future rather than dwell on past interactions with the president-elect.
