Former Everton forward Nikica Jelavic has returned to Finch Farm to catch up with friends at his old club.
The Croatian spent two years at Goodison Park between 2012 and 2014, scoring 21 goals in 69 appearances. That included a mesmerising start to his Blues career, with 11 goals in his first 16 games, after signing from Rangers in January 2012.
Jelavic moved on to Hull City in January 2014, and then West Ham United 18 months later. A spell in China then followed before he finished his career at Lokomotiva Zagreb.

And Jelavic, who is set to feature in a Rangers legends game at Ibrox on Sunday, took the chance on his return to the UK to head to Finch Farm and catch up with some old friends. Taking to Instagram, he wrote: “Good to see some old friends @everton Love it.”
Speaking on his Everton exit back in 2020, Jelavic said: “David Moyes invested in me and he was one of my favourite coaches along with Walter Smith at Rangers, it was difficult for me once he left.
“Roberto Martinez came in and obviously had some different ideas, like every new coach which is normal, then Romelu Lukaku came in and he was absolutely on fire, he was flying; so after a short period with Roberto Martinez he didn’t see me in his plans and I didn’t see myself staying with him.
“I simply wasn’t playing, it’s hard but as a professional you have to move on, so I made the move to Hull City.”
