Nightclub unveils new look as Furys in Ayr becomes top events space

A nightclub has been reimagined as a leading events space by bosses keen to breathe new life into Ayr.

Printhouse will pay homage to its origins as the former 'caseroom' of the Ayrshire Post.

In recent times, the dancefloor has rocked under the guise of Furys as clubbers partied up Nile Court.

But now club chiefs want to provide a new style of venue capable of catering for everything from music nights to corporate events.

Steven Muir, director of operations, said: "Everyone knows how tough the last couple of years have been for everyone.

"And for our industry, at times it has been hard to see the light coming at the end of the tunnel.

"That's why we're so glad to unveil this new look and rebrand. It is a fresh feel and a fresh new approach to the way of doing things."

A six figure investment has been plunged into making Printhouse the go-to venue as music and experience collide.

An impressive 3.6 metre video wall takes centre stage as part of the overhaul, allowing acts to take their nights to the next level.

Steven said: "We want this to be something different — a space where people can come and showcase themselves.

"Whether you're an up and coming act or someone a little more established, if you feel at home here then we're the venue for you."

Functions and corporate gigs will also be catered for within the 350-capacity facility, which sits above the famous Harleys Bar.

Steven added: "There's a big nod to our past with the Printhouse name and we're very proud of those roots up here in Nile Court.

"Harleys has also been a venue to enjoy its fair share of famous nights down the years and has played host to the likes of Biffy Clyro and Ocean Colour Scene.

"We're excited about this bright new future and hopefully this can be a space for everyone."
