Jurgen Klopp has made no secret about his admiration for Nicolo Barella and - in an ideal world - he could be the perfect addition to his Liverpool squad.
A box-to-box midfielder, who has countless attributes, Barella has long-since been linked with a move to Anfield as speculation over his Inter Milan future, once again, continues to gather pace this summer. However, there are one or two complications when it comes to a proposed Liverpool transfer.
Having shelved initial plans to target Jude Bellingham - due to the immense financial costs involved - price remains one concern. Even if they decide to cash-in on their star man, Inter are understood to want around £80m for Barella with three years to run on his contract.
That said, reports from Italian publication Il Tempo argue the figure could actually be closer to €80m (£68m). Either way, though, there are other clubs such as Newcastle United lurking after his signature.

Liverpool not booking their place in the Champions League is another thing to consider. However, the Reds do still have immense pulling power and, if all goes to plan, their omission from the marquee European competition will be for 12 months only if they finish back in the top four next season.
Perhaps the biggest issue is down to the player himself. Inter are understood to be 'open' to selling, but contrasting reports indicate Barella is 'happy' at the San Siro and does not intend to leave.
Now that is where Klopp and his public admiration might come in. Funds depending, the 26-year-old would, clearly, be welcomed to Anfield with open arms.
Should he eventually touch down, meanwhile, there is a dream shirt number waiting for him - with one slight catch. Barella currently wears No.23 for Inter and has done since his transfer from Cagliari three summer ago.
Of course, that particular jersey is currently taken by Luis Diaz, but there is chance the Colombian will opt to switch over to the club's iconic No.7 after James Milner vacated that upon his departure. Other shirt numbers available right now include; 8, 9, 12, 15, 16, 24 and 25 - along with further options in the 30s and 40s.
