Nicole Scherzinger has announced her engagement to former Scottish rugby player Thom Evans.
The former The X Factor judge, who rose to fame as a singer with The Pussycat Dolls, told her Instagram followers on Tuesday that she said “yes” following a proposal by Evans.
The 44-year-old also shared images of her reaction to him getting down on one knee in a seaside location and embracing after she agreed to marry him, writing alongside the photos: “I said yes.”
Meanwhile, her 38-year-old other half also shared the same set of photos with the caption: “My Ever After.”
The couple received congratulations on social media from actress Rebel Wilson, singer Ashlee Simpson, model Naomi Campbell, Lucifer actress Lesley-Ann Brandt and singer Tamar Braxton.
Fellow Pussycat Doll Kimberly Wyatt commented: “I’m so happy for you! Congratulations to you both!”
”Congrats, Nicole!” wrote actress Rebel Wilson while Brandt added: “Awe. You two. Congratulations beauties.”
Fashion designer Julien Macdonald wrote: “Finally ... I’ve been waiting a long time so happy for the both of you. You deserve to be together forever, you’re a perfect match, made in heaven with love.”
The newly-engaged couple first met when Evans appeared as a contestant on the celebrity edition of the ITV talent contest.
The sports star sang as part of the rugby boyband Try Star in 2019, alongside Ben Foden and Levi Davis – and shortly after, Scherzinger was left smitten with Evans and a romance quickly blossomed.
The US artist has previously been romantically linked to Formula One racing driver Lewis Hamilton and Bulgarian tennis player Grigor Dimitrov.
Evans, who has worked as a model, had his rugby career cut short due to a serious neck injury aged 24. He previously had a high-profile relationship with model Kelly Brook.
Last month, the American star was among the stars performing at the Coronation Concert in the grounds of Windsor Castle.
