Nicolas Raskin could be in line to make his Rangers debut this weekend.
The midfielder has obtained a work permit to play in Scotland, meaning he will be available for selection to play Ross County tomorrow.
The Belgian was announced by the Ibrox club on deadline day after signing from Standard Liege.
The 21-year-old was unable to feature in Michael Beale's side's 3-0 win over Hearts on Wednesday evening. He was made to watch from the stands at Tynecastle.
Work permits are necessary for players coming into the UK from overseas.
If a player doesn't come over with full international caps for their country, they can't be guaranteed an automatic pass in line with the Scottish FA's rules.
To date, Raskin has only played for Belgium's under-21s so didn't pass.
However, he now has all the red tape cleared ahead of Saturday's Premiership match against the Staggies.
Excited, he told the media: "I feel ready, I got all my paperwork today so I am ready. I hope I am in the squad tomorrow as I am very excited to hopefully play tomorrow if selected by the coach.
"I loved the way the manager explains how he wants to play football, passing, and creating. I was searching for a style of play close to what I know.
"I really want to continue with a big club with a great atmosphere and play in European competition in future. I want to win trophies, I want to play in the Champions League, not just to play, I want to compete at this level."
