Nicolas Raskin gets special Rangers chauffeur as signing’s arrival at HQ gives fans first glimpse

Inbound Rangers midfielder Nicolas Raskin has arrived at training after being driven in by sporting director Ross Wilson as the club prepare to announce his signing.

The Standard Liege midfielder flew in to Scotland on Monday after landing at Edinburgh airport on a flight from Brussels where he was met by Ibrox officials. Now he has arrived at the Rangers Training Centre to iron out the final details in his switch to the Scottish Premiership. Sporting director Wilson was on hand to chauffeur the 21-year-old in to seal the deadline day move for the Belgian U21 international and also do club media.

It is reported in Belgium a third bid from Rangers worth around £1.75million fee sealed the move with the Jupiler Pro League side getting a 20 per cent sell-on clause in Raskin's contract. Raskin has already responded to tweets from the Belgian fans wishing him well on his next step, having come through the youth ranks with the club before being frozen out by Ronny Deila.

Michael Beale has landed his second signing of the window. Ahead of deadline day, the Ibrox boss said: "I can't confirm anything right now. We're closer but it's not guaranteed right this second."
