Nicolas Raskin fires Rangers 'together' message after Celtic loss as he issues nine word rally cry

Nicolas Raskin has fired a Rangers 'together' message after defeat to Celtic at Hampden.

Michael Beale suffered his first defeat as Light Blues boss as Ange Postecoglou and his troops retained their grip on the League Cup. Kyogo Furuhashi was the hero on the day for the Hoops with a close-range double to claim the Old Firm bragging rights. Alfredo Morelos did grab a goal to give the Ibrox men hope but it wasn't to be as the holders made it back to back successes.

Raskin - who arrived in January - has impressed in his outings to date but had to settle for place on the bench at the national stadium alongside fellow winter window recruit Todd Cantwell. Both came off the bench and sparked a little life into their side with pundits questioning the decision to leave the former Standard Liege midfielder out of the starting team.

But he's now taking to social media to express his feelings after his first final as a Rangers player as he called on everyone to keep their heads up. Posting a picture of himself collecting his runners-up medal, he wrote: "Head up, we still got things to do together."

Ibrox hero Barry Ferguson believe Beale may rue his decision to bench Raskin with the team news coming as a 'surprise' but states there is no excuses and the better team won the final on the day.

He told Go Radio : "By watching Raskin over the last couple of weeks, certainly last week against Livingston, I thought he was a stick-on to play. I'm not disappointed.

"If you look at the four that could play in that holding two - Lundstram, Raskin, Jack or Kamara - I would have been happy with any of them. But I think with his performance last week, it is the type of player that Rangers have been needing so I was surprised.

"Maybe Michael Beale will be looking back and maybe that was a mistake that he made. There's no excuses, the better team won at the end of the day."
