Nicola Peltz has opened up about being "hurt" by people who "make you feel bad" amid rumours of a feud with her mother-in-law Victoria Beckham.
The Transformers actress, 27, took to social media to show herself crying in bed, leaving fans replying in the comments to ask if it was due to her reported falling out with her new hubby's mum.
Nicola posted two pictures of herself on Instagram during the emotional moment. In the first, she cuddled a teddy bear, while the second showed a close-up of her fringe and red eyes.
Captioning the post, she said: "Sometimes I find it hard to show the sad bits of me. Growing up with seven siblings and two very strong parents, made me really tough, they hammered it into me to not let people bring me down or hurt my heart.
"It made me put such a wall up to protect myself especially in this industry. We all have days where people make you feel bad and it’s okay to be hurt by it.
"I just thought I would write something because I never show this side of me here. I wanted to show this side of me. I love you all so much and truly appreciate all of your support.
"It means so much when you guys are kind on my page I want you to know i see you, I hear you, and it means a lot to me."
Friends and family rushed to show their support of the star, with her husband Brooklyn Beckham writing: "You have the most amazing heart xx I love you so so much xx"
Some fans suggested the post was in reference to 48-year-old Victoria, with one person saying: "I wish you a lot of happiness and don't listen to your mother-in-law's naughtiness because your life is only yours."
Another wrote: "If the current story is true, best to reach out to your husbands mum and heal , best for you and him."
A third fan commented: "So your mother in law doesn’t like you. Join the club. Most wives have that type of relationship with their mother in laws! You’ve got this! We’re all in it with you hunny."
Speculating further on their relationship, a source told The Daily Mail: "There is a feeling that the Peltz's rather turn their noses up at the Beckhams', the way that they do things and their celebrity profile.
"Meanwhile, the Peltz clan has really embraced Brooklyn. There is a feeling that Brooklyn is now all about the Peltz family and not the Beckhams."
