Nicola Peltz responds to 'feud' rumours with mother-in-law Victoria Beckham after crying snap sparked concern

Nicola Peltz-Beckham has responded to rumours of a 'feud' with her mother-in-law Victoria Beckham. The release of a joint interview with her husband Brooklyn comes days after she opened up to fans in an emotional Instagram post.

In the social media post, the 27-year-old, who married Posh Spice Victoria and husband David's eldest child Brooklyn in April, shared two photos of herself in which it was visible that she had been crying. She explained how she found it hard to 'show the sad bits of me' and how her upbringing helped her to not let 'people bring me down or hurt my heart.'

After sharing the candid post, which featured a close-up of her red puffy eyes which showed she had been crying, Nicola returned to her Instagram page to thank her father Nelson and her Instagram followers for their support. It came amid rumours that the American actress has been embroiled in a feud with fashion designer Victoria, 48, following her tying the knot with Brooklyn, 23, earlier this year.

But Nicola has now addressed the feud, after rumours it began when Nicola didn't wear a Victoria Beckham-designed wedding dress for her big day. She opted for a Valentino number instead despite saying she wanted to wear one of the former Spice Girl's designs.

Nicola has told Variety in a joint interview with her husband Brooklyn: "I was going to and I really wanted to, and then a few months down the line, she realised that her atelier couldn’t do it, so then I had to pick another dress. She didn’t say you can’t wear it; I didn’t say I didn’t want to wear it. That’s where it started, and then they ran with that".

Brooklyn, meanwhile, insisted things were fine between him, his wife, and her in-laws: "I’ve learned they’re always going to try to write stuff like that. They’re always going to try and put people down. But everyone gets along, which is good."

Elsewhere in the interview, the couple discussed their plans to start a family of their own as Brooklyn said: "I keep saying to my wife, I can't wait to be a dad. I'm ready to have kids, but I always tell my wife, whenever you want."

Alongside her emotional post on Saturday, Nicole typed: "Sometimes I find it hard to show the sad bits of me. Growing up with seven siblings and two very strong parents, made me really tough, they hammered it into me to not let people bring me down or hurt my heart.

"It made me put such a wall up to protect myself especially in this industry. We all have days where people make you feel bad and it’s okay to be hurt by it.

"I just thought I would write something because I never show this side of me here. I wanted to show this side of me. I love you all so much and truly appreciate all of your support. It means so much when you guys are kind on my page I want you to know I see you, I hear you, and it means a lot to me."

Brooklyn replied with a stream of love hearts. And he told her: "You have the most amazing heart xx I love you so so much xx." The following day Nicola shared another photo of herself wearing dark sunglasses in the car. And she said: "Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your messages.

"It means so much to me. Sending you all my love and light your way kindness is such a powerful thing." And the Transformers star posted a snap of herself hugging her father along with the caption: "Thank you for always having my back I love you so much dad."
