Nicola Peltz and Brooklyn Beckham steal the show in matching jewels at the Met Gala

Nicola Peltz and Brooklyn Beckham showed they are the power couple at this year's Met Gala as they perfectly matched.

The loved-up duo put on quite the show and were all smiles at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York on Monday.

Brooklyn showed his parents eye for fashion had passed down to him as he looked smart suited and booted in a black suit.

Instead of the traditional white shirt look, the 24-year-old opted for a semi-sheer black shirt which left his bare chest on show.

For his footwear, Brooklyn chose a chunky black boot, while he completed the outfit with a number of pearl chains which matched his wife's jewellery selection.

As well as the matching charms - including a diamond cross - which added a lust of sparkle to her beautiful outfit, Nicola opted for a design which perfectly clung to her petite frame.

She wore a ruffled white gown which showcased a corset-style top before trailing out below. To bring the look together she tied a black bow around her waist, with a similar neck design too.

She pulled her dark tresses back into a ponytail, allowing her stunning diamonds earrings to shine bright.

The duo couldn't help but gaze into each other's eyes as the love clearly filled the atmosphere. Brooklyn even leant in for a quick kiss of his belle's neck before they entered the venue.

The glitzy bash saw a host of famous faces in attendance as they paid tribute to iconic designer Karl Lagerfeld, who sadly died in 2019 at the age of 85.

He was known for being the creative director of the French fashion house Chanel and the array of celebs at the annual bash will no doubt be doing their best to do him proud.

The dress code was "in honour of Karl", with guests able to choose their favourite concepts from his vast archives at Chanel, Fendi, Chloé, Balmain, Patou and his eponymous brand.

The related exhibit following the extravagant shindig - the Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty - will be open to the public from May 5 until July 12 at The Met Fifth Avenue in the Tisch Gallery.

This year's theme follows in the footsteps of last year's theme - In America: An Anthology of Fashion - in which Kim Kardashian turned heads wearing Marilyn Monroe's iconic gold dress in which she sang happy birthday to John F Kennedy over 60 years ago.
