Nicola Coughlan said ‘it means the world’ as she was named TV actor of the year at the Glamour Women of the Year Awards 2022.
The event, which celebrates those who have "broken down barriers, incited change and campaigned for justice", took place on Tuesday night in London.
And the Galway woman, best known as Clare Devlin in Channel 4 sitcom Derry Girls and Penelope Featherington in the Netflix hit Bridgerton, scored the big prize of the night, as she was awarded the best television actor title.

Speaking after the event, she said: “Thank you so much Glamour UK for honouring me with TV actor of the year. It means the world.”
Singer Rita Ora and former Sex and the City star Kim Cattrall were also among the winners at this year's awards, which were held at the The Outernet venue in the city.
Ora took home the prize for best entertainer, whilst Cattrall was named screen icon at the star studded event.
Hosted by Katherine Ryan, the night saw a series of gongs given out to many other leading stars in music, television, film and activism.
Singer and Voice UK coach Anne-Marie was named musician of the year, Oscar nominee and Broadway star Cynthia Erivo was named game changing performer, whilst Beauty gamechanger went to model and transgender activist Munroe Bergdorf.
Deborah Joseph, European editorial director at Glamour, said the awards are about "Shining a spotlight on women who are game-changing in their field and challenging the status quo”.
"Celebrating women who make incredible differences is one of the best parts of leading Glamour in Europe, so I'm excited for Women Of The Year to put this centre stage."
