Nicola Bulley's sister shares emotional photo as she pleads for missing dog walker to come home

Missing mum Nicola Bulley's younger sister has shared an emotional selfie of them enjoying happier times in the sun as she pleaded again with her to come, three weeks since she was last seen.

Louise Cunningham shared the sunny snap of herself with Nicola, 45, and their mum Dot, 72 on her Facebook wall today.

She wrote: "Three weeks today without you home. We all miss you so much, time to come home now."

The family are holding out hope that Nicola, who has two small daughters at home, will see the coverage.

In an unprecedented statement revealing her private health matters, Lancashire Police, told how Nicola had been categorised as 'high risk' because of 'significant issues with alcohol'.

The force are now facing an investigation by the police watchdog, the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC), for publicising details about Nicola's private life.

The Home Secretary and cross-party MPs have also slammed the decision and demanded answers for Nicola's family.

The original statement from the police about Nicola's health sparked fury among MPs.

Labour's Stella Creasy said: "The decision to disclose this level of detail on a missing person's private life, with no evidence that this is assisting in finding her, is deeply troubling.

"The police need to be much clearer as to why any of this helps find Nicola Bulley or support this investigation."

Conservative MP Alicia Kearns said she was "deeply uncomfortable" with the police releasing details about Ms Bulley's "so-called 'vulnerabilities' on menopause and alcohol".

"I struggle to ascertain how this will assist Police in their search & investigations," she wrote, adding, "I do see how it would assist those wishing to victim-blame or diminish."

In a statement yesterday, Nicola's family said they were aware that these details would be made public, despite knowing "Nikki would have not wanted this".
