Former olympic boxer and Strictly star Nicola Adams is set to join a new Channel 4 reality show just months after becoming a mum. Adams will be joining a host of celebrities in the new show called Scared of the Dark.
A TV insider told The Sun that 39-year-old Nicola, from east Leeds, was signed up after she waned to "push herself". The new show will see celebrities face their fears as they are without any light for days.
A source told The Sun: " As an athlete, Nicola is always wanting to push herself but living without daylight will be the ultimate test of nerve, endurance and willpower.

"If she thought the boxing ring or the Strictly dance floor was tough, this will take things to a new level she won't have experienced before."
The Olympic boxer became a parent back in August with her partner Ella Baig. The pair previously introduced their new baby in a photoshoot with HELLO! magazine, and Nicola gushed: "My son being born is the most amazing thing that’s ever happened to me. I can’t even explain the feeling – I felt this instant love."
Ella gave birth at 7.09 am on July 9 via Caesarean. She says baby Taylor has the same fighting spirit as Nicola, who retired from boxing in 2019 with an undefeated record.
Channel 4 declined to comment on Adam's participation in the new show when asked by The Sun.
