Nicola Adams and girlfriend Ella Baig enjoy fun weekend away after sharing baby news

Nicola Adams and her pregnant girlfriend Ella Baig have been enjoying a weekend out together after announcing their baby news.

The former professional boxer, 39, announced that she and her partner, 23, are expecting a child together earlier this week and told that they're "so excited" to become parents.

The couple, who have been together since 2018, have been trying for a baby through IVF for some time, with Ella now pregnant using Nicola's egg and a sperm donor.

And following their news, the pair have have enjoyed a weekend out and about in London, including visiting upmarket restaurant Amazonico yesterday evening.

Nicola posted about their experience on Instagram, including sharing a photo with her 182,000 followers that showed the couple posing together at their table.

The Strictly Come Dancing alum then uploaded a video of them walking down a street in the city this afternoon, writing alongside it: "We out." They later visited the Natural History Museum.

She shared footage from their time in the museum, including posting clips of the large stegosaurus skeleton that is on display. One showed them stood in front of the fossil.

The couple announced their pregnancy in a joint post on the social media platform earlier this week, alongside a photo of them and one that showed the baby on a scan.

Announcing the news, they said: "We're so excited to announce that our family is expanding. After what feels like a lifetime, we can finally say we're going to be parents!"

They further commented in the post: "We're so excited to share this magical journey with you all, the ups, the downs everything in between. Welcome to the world little one."

The post was flooded with messages congratulating the couple, including from Katya Jones, 32 - who was Nicola's professional partner during her time on Strictly in 2020.

She wrote in the comments section of the couple's post: "I am beyond excited and happy for you. What a beautiful news. You gonna be such amazing parents."
