Nick Sirianni Loved Seeing Eagles Fans With a ‘Run the Ball’ Sign Outside Team’s Practice Facility

There is no sports fanbase like Philadelphia.

When entering Lincoln Financial Field, opposing teams are met with middle fingers while opposing fans are pelted with snowballs. And coaches are met with tips at the team’s practice facility, apparently.

When talking to reporters Wednesday, Eagles coach Nick Sirianni was asked if he saw fans outside of the team’s facility with signs that read, “Run the ball,” ahead of the team’s crucial matchup against the Cowboys on Sunday. Sirianni couldn’t help but laugh and said the team gave them coffee.

“It’s not the first time I’ve heard, ‘Run the ball,’” he said. “And, you know what? We do need to continue to try to run the ball. So, no, I’m not surprised by that, and I appreciate their energy.”

Philadelphia is coming off its worst loss of the season this past weekend where the 49ers obliterated Sirianni’s squad 42–19. In the loss, the Eagles rushed for just 46 yards on 18 attempts—a far cry from the team’s usual dominance on the ground.

Sirianni will look to get his team’s run game going against Dallas on Sunday Night Football with kickoff scheduled for 8:20 p.m. ET on NBC.
