The alleged mastermind of the sniper-style shooting death of Perth bikie Nick Martin is set to go to trial on charges of murder and trying to arrange the killings of two other people.
David James Pye, a member of the Comancheros bikie gang, entered not guilty pleas to all the charges against him when he appeared in the Stirling Gardens Magistrates court today via video link from prison.
The 40-year-old was wearing an orange jumpsuit and was flanked by two prison guards.
He is accused of paying a former soldier $300,000 to murder Martin as he was watching drag races at the Kwinana Motorplex in December 2020.
Mr Pye is also alleged to have offered money to the shooter, whose identity is suppressed, to murder a woman in her 30s, and a member of another bikie gang who lived overseas.
In December 2021, the shooter was sentenced to 20 years' jail after pleading guilty to murdering Martin.
He avoided being given a life sentence because he agreed to testify against Mr Pye.
Mr Pye was committed to stand trial in the Supreme Court and was remanded in custody until his next scheduled appearance in April.
