Nick Knowles, the presenter of DIY SOS, has sent a tweet that could spark concerns about the immediate future of the long-running BBC One show.
Knowles, 59, said on twitter that there are no plans currently for more shows after March this year.
According to a DIY SOS schedule released last year, filming was due to take place in Kettering, Northamptonshire, towards the end of January, Stoke in February and Longframlington in Northumberland in March.
An episode has also been filmed in Bristol which has yet to be broadcast.
In a tweet this morning (Tuesday, February 8), the presenter said in response to suggestion for the show: "If you’ve applied on the website it will be read but there are no plans currently for more SOS shows after March this year so not sure when they’ll be read."
DIY SOS has been running for more than 20 years and sees Knowles and his team transform homes for people in need.
Knowles had to step back from presenting duties for the DIY SOS Children in Need special last November, due to his Shreddies advert.
The BBC did not directly reply to a question about the programme's future.
But a BBC spokesperson said: “The programme is currently in production and new episodes will be out later this year.”
