Niall Horan reminded Americans of the correct way to spell 'Paddy's Day' during a performance in the White House.
The Mullingar native headed to the States as part of St Patrick's Day festivities. He sang four songs at the traditional Shamrock ceremony in the White House, which was also attended by Taoiseach Leo Varadkar.
The US President later praised Niall's musical prowess and said he was welcome back at the White House any time. However, the singer also stirred up attention by highlighting a common mistake Americans make when abbreviating St Patrick's Day.

Niall told the audience: "Happy Paddy's Day, and for all the Americans here that's with two Ds not two Ts."
The star later took to Twitter to wish his followers a happy St Patrick's Day. The video message showed the 29-year-old standing beside a smiling Joe Biden, who had his arm around him, as they took part in the celebrations.
Twitter users responded positively to the surprise encounter. Many people remarked on Niall's successful journey since his debut on the X Factor in 2010.
