This is the 'breath-taking' moment Niagara Falls appeared in Wales - as clouds were captured spilling over a cliff edge at dawn in serene scenes likened to a waterfall.
Keen hiker Lee Graves crept out for an early morning trek in the Brecon Beacons last week [January 24] with just his head lamp and a flask of coffee.
The 39-year-old sat admiring the view from Pen y Fan before spotting the incredible natural optical illusion of clouds flowing down the cliff face in front of him.
The delivery driver set his phone to record and shot this stunning time-lapse footage, shot over five minutes, at sunrise to capture the 'truly magical' moment.
Lee, from Pontypridd, Wales, said: "The views were amazing - one of the best I’ve seen in Pen y Fan and I’ve been up there hundreds of times.
"I could see the clouds were dripping down the valley as I looked down towards Cribyn.
"It was like it was rippling across. It looked like the clouds were falling down like a waterfall.
"It was very peaceful and not as busy as normal, I think that was due to the low cloud maybe putting people off.
"It was worth having a nice break at the top, I enjoyed my coffee and flapjacks as I watched the sun for 10 to 15 minutes before carrying on with my hike.
"It was a perfect sunrise."
Dad-of-one Lee spent seven hours up in the hills that day, admitting he was 'lucky' to capture the unique natural illusion that looked like flowing water.
Lee said: "At the start of that day, it was thick cloud, mist. I had a headlamp on at about 7.10am.
"It's nice to get up at that time - you tend to get a better view. When I cleared the clouds, it was one of those mornings that was lucky.
"As I was approaching the top of the mountain I could see that the cloud was breaking.
"I was at approximately 880m high. You could see the clouds getting sucked down the valley, in between Pen y Fan.
"Sometimes the clouds go down fast but this was slowly, I could see they were flowing down.
"I set my phone up there on a time-lapse video and that's why it looks like it's constantly flowing. It took place over five minutes.
"It was slower but you still saw the same thing. When I played it later on, I surprised myself at how effective it looked.
"When I went down the other valleys I was in the clouds and it was all frosty. The frost was about an inch thick in parts."
After sharing the video and pictures to social media, Lee was flooded with comments from amazed Facebook users.
