Northern Ireland musician Tiernan Heffron will be creating waves in Nashville next month after releasing his new song ‘Strangers’.
Belfast Live caught up with the Co Antrim native to reflect on how his career is going from strength to strength.
"In the next two months, I am ready to make significant changes in my life. I am giving up all that I have to pursue my dreams and to focus on my songwriting to become the best artist I can be," said Tiernan.

Reflecting on his new song ‘Strangers’, Tiernan says it's his best work to date: "This is by far the most personal and heartfelt song that I have ever written and I had the privilege of co-producing it with Alex O'Keeffe and Andreas Erickson, two incredibly talented people that I'm fortunate to call friends.
"Out of all the songs I've released over the years, I can confidently say that Strangers is my breakthrough song, my best work yet!"
"The response to my new single Strangers has been overwhelming," he adds.
Tiernan will complete his first-ever headline show in Belfast on Friday, June 2, at the Oh Yeah Centre located in Belfast’s picturesque Cathedral Quarter.
His personal connection to the Oh Yeah Centre first developed when he studied Music at the Belfast Metropolitan College and dreamt of having his own show at this venue after seeing The 1975 in 2013.
"I decided to pursue a Level 3 diploma at Belfast Met Music course after I had finished my GCSEs, as I had no interest in taking A Levels. All I wanted to do was anything and everything related to music, particularly writing and creating my own music."
He continued: "We had some of our practical performing classes at the Oh Yeah Centre, and I used to dream that someday I could put on my own headline show there. I wondered how and when I could make this dream a reality. This same venue was where one of my favourite bands, The 1975, performed after releasing their first album in 2013."
Tiernan continues to be an advocate and inspiration to young musicians in Northern Ireland to continue following and fulfilling their dreams.
"On June 2 people can expect I'm going to mix it up for this show, performing solo with my acoustic guitar and vocals, as well as rocking out with my electric guitar and a huge full sound with some really cool lighting productions too.
"I'm so grateful and excited to put on a great show to thank everyone who comes to support me on the night- it really means a lot."
Tiernan recently announced via Instagram that he will be supporting American Singer Blu Eyes in Dublin on Wednesday, May 31.
"I'm absolutely thrilled to have the opportunity to open for one of my favourite artists," he added.
