NGO Condemns Killing Of Journalists In Gaza

Palestinian journalists killed in Israeli strikes, in Gaza

A non-governmental organization has expressed outrage over the recent killing of journalists in Gaza. The organization condemned the violent attack on two journalists, highlighting that this incident is part of a disturbing trend of crimes against journalists in Gaza. According to the organization, more than 120 journalists have lost their lives in Gaza over the past 10 months.

The organization called on the Israeli government to take immediate action to end the violence against journalists, which it described as flagrant examples of war crimes. The Director of Campaigns at the organization emphasized the need for the Israeli Defence Forces to cease their attacks on journalists in Gaza.

With the recent killing of two journalists, the total number of journalists who have lost their lives in Gaza has now reached five. The organization pointed out that all these journalists were targeted by direct strikes, raising concerns about the safety and protection of journalists in the region.

In response to the organization's statements, the Israeli military stated that one of the journalists killed was allegedly a member of Hamas' military wing and had reportedly participated in an attack on Israel on October 7. This claim by the Israeli military adds a layer of complexity to the situation and underscores the challenges faced in reporting on conflicts in the region.
