NFU Scotland roadshow coming to Castle Douglas

An NFU Scotland roadshow will take place in Castle Douglas tonight.

Farmers and crofters from across the region are invited to attend the Market Inn Hotel at 7pm.

Items up for discussion include Scotland’s transition from a post-Brexit, post-Common Agricultural Policy support framework to a new agricultural policy in Scotland, expected to be in place by 2025.

NFU Scotland president Martin Kennedy will be attending along with director of policy Jonnie Hall.

NFU Scotland’s regional manager for Dumfries and Galloway, Tracey Roan, said: “We would encourage all members to come along to this meeting.

“This is the ideal opportunity to get the region’s views heard.”
