In a matter of five days, the Los Angeles Rams managed to completely turn their season around. After beating the Las Vegas Raiders last Sunday, the Rams turned around and took down the 5-1 Minnesota Vikings on Thursday night, their third win of the season and second in less than a week.
At 3-4, the Rams are far from the best team in the league and they might have to go 7-3 down the stretch in order to make the playoffs, but no one is counting them out anymore. Their win over the Vikings was a statement victory, much like their win against the 49ers in Week 3 was.
NFL analysts have taken notice of the Rams’ turnaround and now that both Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp are healthy, they could be a dangerous team in the NFC. Here’s where various outlets put the Rams in this week’s power rankings.
USA Today: 15th (last week: 23rd)
ESPN: 19th (last week: 23rd)
NFL.com: 20th (last week: 23rd)
CBS Sports: 19th (last week: 24th)
Bleacher Report: 19th (last week: 22nd)
ProFootballTalk: 20th (last week: 22nd)
Yahoo Sports: 16th (last week: 24th)
The Athletic: 18th (last week: 24th)
FOX Sports: N/A (last week: 22nd)
The Ringer: 11th (last week: 14th)
High: 11th – Low: 20th – Average: 17.4
The Ringer has been high on the Rams pretty much all season, ranking them much higher than any other outlet. This week, they have Los Angeles as a fringe top-10 team, which is quite the claim.
It’s good to see the Rams climb back into the top 20 after falling out of the top 25 in many places two weeks ago, giving fans some hope for the final 10 weeks of the season.
With a matchup against the Seahawks coming up, the Rams could realistically grab first place in the division if they can beat their rivals on Sunday.
