For the past two seasons, each time the Philadelphia Eagles play their NFC East rival, the Washington Commanders, they are a huge favorite. The sportsbooks love Philadelphia, and so do those “experts” who pick games each week.
When the Commanders traveled to Philly in Week 10 last season, no one believed Washington could win. The Commanders handed the Eagles their first loss, an 11-point road in on Monday Night Football.
Earlier this season, four weeks ago, to be exact, Philadelphia was a big favorite over Washington. The Commanders controlled much of the game before the Eagles took over in the fourth quarter. However, Washington quarterback Sam Howell brought the Commanders back, tying the game with a touchdown pass at the end of regulation to force overtime.
Unfortunately for Washington, the Eagles won the game with a field goal in overtime, and the Commanders haven’t been the same since.
The sportsbooks have the Eagles favored by a touchdown. What about those aforementioned experts?
