NFL Week 5 Awards: A Giants lineman took the most unfortunate shot to the groin while celebrating

Sunday’s Week 5 NFL action had a little bit of everything, including a very unfortunate shot the groin for one member of the New York Giants after they improved to 4-1 with a win over the Packers in London.

We saw Tom Brady benefit from one of the worst roughing the passer calls you’ll ever see.

We saw the Steelers and Bills get into a few scuffles after some questionable hits on rookie QB Kenny Pickett.

And we saw Patriots third-string QB Bailey Zappe get his first NFL win in his first start as New England blew out the Lions at home.

Let’s now have some fun and hand out some awards for the good, the bad, and the hilarious moments from Sunday’s games.

Most painful celebration: This one by the Giants.

The Giants beat the Packers in London and one player celebrated by kneeing Jon Feliciano in the groin. Not cool. Not cool at all. (I’m kidding. I know it wasn’t done on purpose.)

Best job of throwing a CB to the ground right after the snap: George Pickens.

This is one way to get open.

The worst roughing the passer call: This one on the Falcons.

This made no sense at all.

The second worst rouging the passer call: This one on New England’s Mack Wilson Jr.

Come on.

Most fired up coach after a win: Brian Daboll.

Daboll was PUMPED after the Giants win over the Packers in London.

Best job of getting away from your own end zone: The Bills’ offense.

Yup, this worked.

Brightest pregame suit: Kyler Murray.

It’s like he’s wearing a highlighter.

The worst job of tackling a running back: The Jaguars.

Houston’s Dameon Pierce refused to go down here… and the Jaguars refused to tackle him.

Worst job of holding on to the ball in a key moment: Bears WR Ihmir Smith-Marsette.

This was not ideal.

Best pick six celebration by a defensive coordinator: San Francisco’s DeMeco Ryans.

I think he was happy about this development.

Best job of keeping their feet in bounds while picking up a first down: Michael Gallup.

The Cowboys wide receiver made this look way too easy.
