The NFL has been adamant about expanding its borders in recent years. The London Games have become a mainstay since their inception back in 2007, and pro football contests were played in Germany and Brazil this past season in addition to the UK. 2025 won’t be any different, as the league is beginning to announce which teams will be making the trip across the ocean during next season.
NFL Announces Teams For 2025 London Games
The Jacksonville Jaguars have been at the forefront when it comes to games in Europe. They’ve become the de facto home team in London, playing at least one game in the city every year since 2013. Their agreement to the international games in built in to the commitment that the NFL has for the series, and they’ll make their return during the 2025 season, likely for multiple games.
For the past two years, the Jaguars have sacrificed two home games in Jacksonville in exchange for playing back-to-back weeks in London. In 2023, they played against the Falcons and Bills in Weeks 4 and 5, and took on the Bears and Patriots during Weeks 6 and 7 in 2024.
While the double dip hasn’t officially been announced for the Jaguars, this coming season would be the 14th and 15th time that they’ve played overseas.

The Cleveland Browns have made just one appearance during the London Games, and that happened back in 2017. But they’ll make their return this year, and are set to play their contest at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The New York Jets were the last of the three teams that were announced on Friday. They’ve played in London three times in the history of the NFL International Series, the first being in 2015. They were a part of the festivities just this past year, suffering a loss to the Minnesota Vikings in their 2024 visit to London. Like the Browns, they’ll play their game at Tottenham Hotsput Stadium as well.
There will be plenty more announcements to be made in the coming weeks and months. The opponents for the Jaguars, Jets, and Browns still need to be decided, which likely won’t be until the NFL schedule is released in May. There are also expected to be announcements coming about Germany, which has hosted games every year since 2022, and the league could expand on their visit to South America to kick off last season.
There are also rumors of NFL games potentially being played in Dublin and Madrid.
