NFL's 'Good Morning Football' To Launch New Syndicated Series

TV series

Good Morning Football is set to expand its reach with a new two-hour 'extension series' that will be syndicated by multiple partners, as announced by the NFL. The popular morning program, which has been airing on the NFL Network since 2016, will now be distributed by Sony Pictures Television under a new title.

The original Good Morning Football will be taking a hiatus for the summer starting March 29, with plans to relaunch by preseason. The show, which was the first New York-based program on the NFL Network, replaced the Los Angeles studio program NFL AM.

The upcoming program will be produced from a new complex in Inglewood, Calif., providing the league with access to five soundstages and a podcast studio for its media productions. Michael Davies, known for overseeing various new formats, will serve as the executive producer for both Good Morning Football and its new sibling.

These developments come amidst speculation about potential partnerships between the NFL's media properties and traditional outlets like Disney's ESPN. The NFL has been encouraged by the viewership growth of Good Morning Football, with a 16% increase in overall audience across multiple platforms in 2023 compared to the previous year.

Good Morning Football features a lineup of hosts on weekdays and weekends, providing fans with engaging and insightful coverage of the latest in football news and analysis.
