The Cincinnati Bengals had a handful of games on the remaining schedule with a big “TBD” as the time as the NFL works its flex-scheduling magic to put the best teams in the top matchups.
Unfortunately for the Joe Burrow-less Bengals, that means not sitting in premium spots when it comes time to make a decision on the schedule.
Case in point, the league just announced the Week 15 slate and the team’s game against the Minnesota Vikings is neatly tucked into a typical 1 p.m. ET slot on December 16.
That one pretty much had no shot at anything else after season-ending injuries suffered by both franchise quarterbacks.
The Bengals did keep their Monday night slot in Week 13 against the Jaguars and still play on December 23rd and New Year’s Eve in prominent spots, but that “TBD” against the Browns in Week 18 will probably be an early-afternoon kickoff.
