The NFL was on upset alert for a second consecutive week with the New England Patriots handing the Buffalo Bills a 29-25 loss at Gillette Stadium.
It was another weird week of football with Patriots quarterback Mac Jones outdueling Josh Allen in a late-game shootout on Sunday. The same Patriots offense that has consistently struggled moving the ball past the 50-yard line was suddenly playing with the sort of high-end efficiency you’d see from the more talented teams in the league.
One of those more talented teams are the Philadelphia Eagles, who showed up in a big way on Sunday Night Football against the Miami Dolphins. They showed why they are one of the best all-around teams in the league by holding the Dolphins’ high-powered offense to only 17 points.
And to think, the Eagles defense got even better on Monday by trading for Titans former All-Pro safety Kevin Byard.
