It was by the skin of their teeth, but the Denver Broncos poured a bucket of ice water on the streaking Minnesota Vikings and moved into the top-10 of the NFL power rankings for the very first time.
The Broncos, who were already coming off back-to-back wins over the Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo Bills, have been one of the biggest surprise teams of the 2023 season.
A few weeks ago, it seemed like they were ready to start putting “For Sale” signs out in their front yard, but they resisted the urge to blow the team up. Now, they’re sitting at 6-5 and on one of the hottest runs in the entire NFL.
The only other surprise team as hot as the Broncos are right now are the Houston Texans, who also got a win on Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals.
