The ongoing wildfires in Southern California have led to the relocation of the NFL playoff game between the Minnesota Vikings and the Los Angeles Rams. Due to public safety concerns, the game, originally scheduled to take place at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, CA, will now be held at State Farm Stadium in Arizona, home of the Arizona Cardinals.
Both the Rams and Vikings have shown their support for firefighters and wildfire victims in the Los Angeles area. The Kroenke Family Foundation, led by the Rams' owner, has pledged a generous $1 million donation to the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation. Furthermore, Rams players and coaches will be wearing custom LAFD hats and shirts during the Wild Card game, with proceeds from sales going towards the LAFD Foundation and the American Red Cross.
The Minnesota Vikings and the Wilf Family Foundations have also stepped up to support wildfire relief efforts by matching the Rams' $1 million contribution. In a joint statement, Vikings owners Mark Wilf and Zygi Wilf expressed their sympathy for those affected by the wildfires and their gratitude towards the first responders working tirelessly to protect the community.
