While all eyes will be on the San Francisco 49ers’ highly-anticipated matchup with the reigning NFC Champion Philadelphia Eagles, the college football season is wrapping up with conference championship weekend starting on Friday.
With the college football season coming to an end, mock drafts are beginning to become more clear with what players could be available when the 49ers are on the board in April. In the latest mock draft from The Athletic, the 49ers added some protection up front for Brock Purdy.

🚨Mock Draft 1.0
– Bears draft two cornerstone players
– Jayden Daniels 📈👀
– 20 yrs later, Cardinals get another Larry Fitz

With the No. 30 overall pick in the 2023 draft, Dane Brugler of The Athletic went to the Pac-12 for the 49ers selection. Brugler inked Oregon State offensive tackle Taliese Fuaga to the 49ers at No. 30 in The Athletic’s latest mock draft.
According to Brugler, the Oregon State Beaver big man is the best run blocking lineman in the upcoming draft class.
Via The Athletic:
With his firm hands and finishing mentality, Fuaga is the best run-blocking lineman I have studied this draft cycle, especially with his ability in zone. His feet get tied up when he gets too upright in pass protection (see: his 2023 Washington tape), but he can keep speed wide of the pocket and help answer the 49ers’ struggles at right tackle.

According to Pro Football Focus, Fuaga has played 700 offensive snaps this season and has given up zero sacks and only two quarterback hits. He currently has a 88.3 overall grade via PFF. As a sophomore in 2022, Fuaga was named to the All-Pac-12 Second Team.
